Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors
BCND is proud to work in close partnership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the national voice for naturopathic medicine in Canada. While BCND represents and advocates for naturopathic doctors at the provincial level here in British Columbia, CAND leads national advocacy efforts that benefit the profession across the country.
Together, BCND and CAND ensure that naturopathic doctors are supported at every level. Membership in BCND automatically includes membership in CAND, providing BC NDs with seamless access to both provincial and national representation, resources, perks and professional development opportunities.
Our work at BCND focuses on provincial issues—ensuring NDs are fully integrated into BC’s healthcare system, advocating for scope expansion, and addressing regulatory changes that impact practice in our province. CAND complements this work by focusing on federal policy, national advocacy, and public awareness initiatives that advance the profession and promote the vital role NDs play in healthcare across Canada.
