Biography
Dr. Romi Fung, ND, M.Sc, Ph.D (cand.) supports patients living with dementia improve their quality of life
by taking an integrative and functional approach. Dr. Fung believes that there is more to dementia than just working with the brain; there are many metabolic and biochemical factors that affect our brain stemming from the body. It is not as if our brains (and heads!) are detached from the body. But rather, what happens in the body also happens in the head. This is why he believes naturopathic medicine takes a powerful stance at addressing these factors that affect our brains. He takes a comprehensive approach in working with his patients, from screening for inflammation, insulin resistance, and hormones while working on their lifestyles – all of which contribute greatly to our brain health.
Dr. Fung is ReCODE 2.0 Certified by the Apollo Health Bredesen Protocol and is a Certified Brain Health Professional through Amen University of the Amen Clinics by Dr. Daniel Amen.
On top of his practice, Dr. Fung is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Aging and Health
at Queen’s University, and a Clinical and Academic Faculty teaching Traditional Asian Medicine at the
Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine – Boucher Campus. Dr. Fung is an avid speaker and has empowered over tens of thousands of lives educating the general public on brain health and dementia prevention with his clear yet gentle approach.
