BLS Interim Training – Part 2 – Skills (YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED BLS Part 1 – Virtual Cognitive prior to attending this course)
What is the “Skills” course
Individuals who completed the BLS Interim Training – Part 1 – Virtual Cognitive course will need to attend a BLS Interim Training – Part 2 – Skills course before their virtual cognitive certificate expires. The Part 2 course provides students with essential hands-on skills practice and skills testing necessary to support life-saving care during a cardiovascular emergency. A BLS Provider certificate valid for 1-year* is issued from the date of successful completion of the Part 2 course.
BLS Interim Training – Part 2 – Skills course covers:
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Ventilations using a barrier device and bag-mask
- Relief of choking in a responsive infant
- Multi-rescuer resuscitation
- Team Dynamics
