Avisio Naturopathic Clinic has announced the dates and special guests for its 5th annual free educational health fair. On Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 12noon – 4pm, the clinic will open its doors to patients, students, customers, and their friends and family. Free Arterial Stiffness Tests at Evergreen Wellness

What is an Arterial Stiffness Index (ASI) Test?

If arteries are non-flexible or hardened, the heart has to work much harder in order to push the blood through the partially occluded vessels.  These blockages and the extra strain on the heart are root causes of cardiovascular (CV) disease. The ASI is a quick way to determine whether your blood vessels have lost their elasticity and flexibility. The higher the ASI, the more likely you are to have hardening of the arteries.
